Dr. Joseph T. Stubbs III is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Ga. After five years of successful private practice, he returned to academia for sub-specialty fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.

While at Emory University, Dr. Stubbs completed two fellowships in gynecologic surgery. His first fellowship was in pelvic surgery through the section of Gyn Oncology under Drs. Ira Horowitz and Cyril Spann. During this fellowship, he participated in the management of all forms of gynecologic malignancies and pre-invasive lesions.

After completion of his first fellowship, Dr. Stubbs was then chosen for a second fellowship in urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Kovac, one of the world’s most experienced and innovative surgeons in the field of pelvic surgery.

Dr. Stubbs then returned to Savannah to open the Savannah Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Center and to specialize in the evaluation and treatment of female incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He is a member of the Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons, American Urogynecologic Society, Southern Medical Association, Georgia OB/GYN Society, Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
